For our Tuesday morning edition of “American Idol” notes, we’re starting things off with a season 11 announcement — and closing with some details about a pair of our favorite contestants from seasons past.
The albums are available – Want to pick up some of Jessica Sanchez or Phillips Phillips’ highlights from this past season? You now have an opportunity to do so! Beginning today, you can pick up discs featuring five songs from each one of the top five contestants from last season at your local Walmart. For more information on the track listing, head on over to this link.
Also, the ten-song season 11 highlights disc is now available everywhere, and it features one performance from every artist that is on tour. The list of tracks for this album is here. The start of the show’s annual tour is just two days away, so check back soon for more coverage of what Phillip, Jessica, and the rest of the gang is planning to do to win over some fans across the country.
Adam taking part in new Q&A – Do you have a question for Adam Lambert? If so, there’s a way you can probably interact with the season 8 star courtesy of an upcoming webchat with Capital FM. Basically, all you have to do is tweet out your potential questions using the hashtag #AdamOnCapital, and be sure to check out the British music station’s website on Monday at 7:15 p.m. local time.
Casey Abrams’ debut – There’s no official count yet on how many albums Casey Abrams sold of his self-titled debut yet, but if the predictions from HITS Daily Double are correct, it’s not looking good for the season 10 star. Casey potentially debuted out of the top 50 — but as much as we love the album, it’s not a surprise. The album has barely been promoted, and the tracks on it have not received much in the way of airplay at all.
We’re still not giving up hope on this album selling in the future, but it may take some time. In more positive news, Casey reveals in the video below that he’s going on tour! Dates and other details are forthcoming.
As always, be sure to check back for some more “American Idol” news!
