Alec Baldwin is apparently done messing around on Twitter yet again — for the second time in the past year, the “30 Rock” star made the decision to delete his Twitter account on Monday. This time around, he posted a message saying “it’s been fun” before ultimately bidding adieu to the popular social-networking service.
So why did Alec decide to say goodbye this time? Following a series of public incidents leading up to his wedding to Hilaria Thomas over the weekend, we have a feeling that he may be wanting to start his married life in a new, more private direction. He is going to be gone for a while, anyway, for his honeymoon, and by the time he returns he will likely spend much of his time wrapping up his hit NBC show with Tina Fey.
When Baldwin deleted his account for the first time, he did so after a rather nasty incident on board an airline, when he was removed from a flight after he refused to stop playing a game on his phone. (Three cheers for “Words with Friends”!) He eventually came back after a span of time away, and he once again established his position of one of the most outspoken celebrities online. He frequently talks about politics, his own work in film and television, and some of his other general interests in life. The Twitter world will not be quite the same without him … but we’re still holding out hope that he will turn up again eventually.
