Want to take an early look at the new official key art for “Grimm” season 2? All you have to do is scroll down and view the image at the bottom of this article.
The art was first posted over on TVLine, and tragically does not really contain much in the way of anything altogether surprising. While we do love the color scheme and the use of the gigantic ax, we are completely clueless as to where Juliet has run off to.
It’s probably no surprise to you that the August 13 premiere date for the show is a little earlier than most fall TV fans would expect. What’s going on here? Basically, NBC is aware that this drama, despite airing on a Friday night typically, is one of its most consistent hits. It also has an enormous DVR audience and plays enough like a procedural to be shuffled around. In giving “Grimm” some extra play in August, especially following some coverage of the London Olympics, they are hoping that it will attract even more devoted voters to stick around all season. For those of you wondering how this show is going to have any new episodes left in the talk later after premiering so early, you may as well expect that season 2 is going to be a longer order than the 22 that most broadcast networks ask for when it comes to drama series.
When we do have some more tangible coverage of “Grimm” season 2 — including promo videos and the like — we will have it for you right here. For now, though, be sure to check out some of our other coverage of the show and its stars.
