In reply to Shelly Elrod. Unfortunately, it's only available on Amazon Prime Video. However, I also agree that if you are a Longmire fan I can virtually guarantee that you'll love Justified.

I have become increasingly frustrated by “Longmire” and fervently wish that the producers would take a “page” from the producers of “Bosch” and stick more closely to the plot lines and characters as developed by the author. The lead character is terrific. I’ll even buy into Henry Standing Bear even though Lou Diamond Philips bears virtually no resemblance to the character in the novels. And the female “leads” are characters with no discernable relationship to the characters as developed by Craig Johnson. All in all, I have become increasingly alienated. I just read Johnson’s new novella “The Highwayman”. What a wonderful opportunity it would be for the producers to capture the “true” Longmire.

Actually, I think Longmire is about police corruption and the dangers of letting personal fears and concerns overcome the rule of law. We see episode after episode of Walt pushing boundaries, ignoring the law, and encouraging his deputies to do the same thing. This show explores what happens when the legal system doesn’t work as it should for some of its citizens and how tempting it is to take the law into our own hands under those circumstances. Even good people get pulled into this dangerous territory to the detriment of themselves and those they care about. I think if the show actually embraced that, it would be even more powerful, but it tries to side-step the very reality it is creating. It is at its best when it reflects the ugly and difficult reality of people at odds with a system that often does not work. In that way, up until last season, it was a great show to watch to empathize with basically good people and to understand better how important it is to have rules and accountability, especially for those we trust the most. Watching the good acting and the (unevenly) good scripts can be compelling, not to escape the current difficult political culture, but to better understand it.

In reply to Matt Carter. sorry hyper competition with some real stinkeroos. They had a winner and for what ever reason the decided to cancel a winner and a lot of what they are producing is simply c**p. Did you actually try to watch that hot mess, I think it was dear white people,...stinkeroo!

Very good show. Characters have issues like real people. The cast is one of the best on TV. One way to tell in my opinion is that you see them in other shows frequently. The only one that l haven’t seen any where else is the lead. I hope to see him in other roles.

Love,love,love longmire. Love Gregg Johnson. I have read every one of his books. Hope he keeps them coming. Watch re runs on Netflix all the time. I know them by heart, still watch.
