We have one other piece of “American Idol” notes for you now on this Saturday, and it pertains to the season 11 runner-up as well as the season 1 winner. In other words, we’re spanning the entire run of the show!
Jessica gives album tease -For those of you who have not been around Jessica Sanchez’s Twitter account much the past few days, you may be unaware of the fact that she is in the process of recording her debut album — which will probably be released in October or early November.
What you may not know is that she is hinting at one of her inspirations. In a post on Saturday, here is what she had to say in a quote that is probably going to have quite a few fans excited:
“This song is dedicated to you ;)”
Really, there are only two ways that you can interpret such a statement — she is either sending a message directly to her fans, or she is writing about someone else special in her life. Just so that we don’t spark up any crazy rumors about her personal life, let’s just assume that Sanchez is talking about the first one. After all, she did post it on her Twitter for a reason!
Kelly performs with her “Duets” partner – Eliminated “Duets” contestant Jordan Meredith had one of the coolest gigs ever on Friday night — getting the opportunity to perform at Summerfest in Wisconsin in front of hundreds of thousands of fans alongside her mentor in Kelly Clarkson.
Jordan hails from the area, so having her come out on stage to sing “Stronger” was a nice touch to get her even more established with her local base. What is also pretty cool is the message that Kelly sent her afterwards:
“You did so great last night! I can’t wait for you to come out for the summer tour!”
Even though “Duets” is almost sure to be canceled after this season due to low ratings, Jordan looks as though she is going to have a friend for life in Kelly — and someone who is willing to help her long after the show is over.
As always, be sure to check back for more “American Idol” news.
