Whenever you want to promote a new film, one of your most likely destinations is always going to be a late-night talk show. However, from here you have a pair of options — you can spend fifteen minutes sitting down trying to share witty anecdotes about yourself (but only so much as you are willing to share), or you can spend five minutes talking and the rest of your time acting silly in a way that gets you headlines likes this one.
Neil Patrick Harris was on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” Thursday in order to promote his new project “The Smurfs,” and after spending a few minutes chatting he joined Jimmy for a game of Charades that you can check out below. (The traditional game-playing coaches straight out of 1962 were a nice touch.)
“The Smurfs” is posed to likely either finish in second or third place at the American box office this weekend — “Cowboys & Aliens” is expected to be the big winner, while “Captain America” could hold on fairly strong after impressing with a $65 million opening weekend. The biggest deterrent for “The Smurfs” right now comes via the critics — who have a 19% approval rating at the moment on Rotten Tomatoes.
