‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’: Jacqueline Laurita on ending friendship

If you have been following “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” with some regularity this season, then you already know that Jacqueline Laurita and Teresa Giudice have hit what may very well be the end of a long-term friendship. The two started to see some fractures courtesy of some secrets and gossip earlier this year, but eventually Jacqueline finally realized that she could not take any more constant banter about Melissa and Joe Gorga — who have been the subject of Teresa’s ire ever since they first joined the show during season 3.

Based on what Laurita is saying in a new entry on her Bravo blog, it also sounds like she does not particularly regret her decision to end the friendship, either:

“I felt betrayed because I always supported her in everything she did. I was just trying my best to give her good advice. She was spiraling. Instead of appreciating my advice, she resented me for it because my views and opinions weren’t agreeing with hers.”

We don’t know why it is, but for some reason Jacqueline and Teresa are still continuing to spend a great deal of time talking about each other — almost too much for people who claim to not having an interest in being friends anymore.  It’s probably not some sort of massive conspiracy, though; rather, they are just being forced to drudge up drama from almost a year ago because it is airing on TV at the moment. It will be interesting to see where these two ladies are when the season 4 reunion tapes in regards to their relationship, especially since Laurita has promised to actually show up this time around after bailing at the end of season 3. Plus, by that time their emotions will be at a high, and it is after this point that they will finally be able to move on.

Do you think Jacqueline is making the right move in regards to Teresa? Be sure to check back Saturday for a full preview of the next new episode of the series.
