‘Chicago Fire’ season 5, episode 12 preview: When will Jesse Spencer, cast return?

Chicago Fire -If you’re still feeling rather sad regarding the state of things on “Chicago Fire” with Dawson and Casey, we absolutely understand why. Just remember for a minute everything that they’ve been through, in between having their lives in jeopardy on multiple occasions and then also everything that they went through when it came to Louie.

After the super-intense past two episodes, we’re going to be taking a little bit of a break. There is no new episode next week, and the series is going to be returning on February 7 with an installment entitled “An Agent of Machine” — which actually sounds more like an episode title for “Agents of SHIELD” more so than this show. Judging from the synopsis below, we get a pretty good indication that there are going to be some hard times ahead for some of the characters, with Casey (sadly) topping the list yet again.

Synopsis – “The team is on high alert when a previous incident during a fire call leaves a dangerous man on the loose with a vendetta to target Lt. Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Firehouse 51, and prompts CPD to step in. Dennis Mack (guest star Nick Boraine), a buddy firefighter of Severide’s (Taylor Kinney) father, comes to town to shadow the squad but may have ulterior motives. Meanwhile, Brett (Kara Killmer) and Antonio’s (guest star Jon Seda) relationship hits some bumps in the road when his ex-wife Laura (guest star America Olivo) surfaces and Casey has a present for Dawson (Monica Raymund).”

When it comes to Antonio Dawson’s return, we have to say that we’re of two minds. Obviously, it’s a thrill to see him back! The character’s being saved for the most part until we get around to “Chicago Justice,” but that is not until March. We’ll just have to see if his relationship with Brett makes it that far.

Promo – The firehouse is under attack, and unfortunately, almost all of it does seem to be personal.
