That political episode with the “wall” and the “pit” was one of my favorite episodes! This show is so fun and funny, but does a great job of making me afraid for the main characters because they will kill anyone! I also love the Man. that hug between him and lucy in the season 3 finale gave me hope for him.

Z-Nation by contrast is neither gut wrenching nor does it make you feel disappointed. Yes, it has deadly monsters such as Zombie Bears (everything). You get unexpected surprises everywhere. Lucy can talk with the dead and experiences rapid growth when under stress. The Liberty Bell itself off of a truck obliterating a wide swath of the undead. Doc was a recovering addict / councilor when the apocalypse struck so he got High and jumped into the melee. Citizen-Z has a hottie cool as hell rapping girlfriend who has just discovered that she is pregnant. A UFO from Zona was featured in the season finale. There’s a character called the man and the dude is seriously THE MAN. It is a seriously great show, so far.

Get this, right around election time the show featured a conman political type espousing:
“Let’s Build a Wall to Make America, America again.” His political rival proposed: “No, Pits, let’s build great big giant pits!” Hilariously funny show.
