In all honesty I wasn’t that familiar with the song, so I asked my colleague (who knew it rather well and heard it from the other room) about it before posting. Maybe without having the nostalgia or sentiment surrounding the song, it just didn’t work as well for me as it was for others. I spent much of it wondering precisely what was going on.

As for the idea behind it, I LOVED that. I’m down for a great Obama tribute as much as the next guy. It’s like the La La Land Sketch — had I seen the movie I probably would’ve enjoyed it more. Sometimes that happens with SNL but I’m grateful they still do these big swings for the fences.

To Sir With Love was absolute genius!
It was about the message. On point.

I’m really not sure why you were confused by To Sir With Love. It was an obvious tribute to President Obama. I thought it was very touching and couldn’t care less about the quality of their voices.

I actually thought the To Sir With Love was a great touch…. and happy Michelle was featured in Weekend Update…especially considering the Os are probably watching on vacation….LOVED Aziz monologue!!!!!!!!!!!!
