Tom Hiddleston is an amazingly sweet, generous, unselfish gentleman and the very idea that he needed to apologize for his acceptance speech is ludicrous. Shame on those who made him feel it was needed! I bet dollars to doughnuts that none of them even care about what’s happening in the Sudan. If they did, they’d be doing something about that instead of criticizing an actor for fumbling his words a little bit in a moment of stress.

An apology was never needed. If people couldn’t tell how sincere and honest (and nervous!) he was, then that’s their issue. Tom has always tried to bring attention to situations that get little or no public notoriety because of his commitment to UNICEF and other organizations who try to do good in this world.
People need to get off their high judgemental horses.

No way. Tom did not meed to apologize for anything. Ive heard alot of winners go all poltical more than once. Some ofvthem should have been call out but they weren’t.

Tom should not have had to apologize.

So many people doing awful things and then there’s Tom Hiddleston. Tom happily takes pics with fans. Fans and co-workers gush how nice he is. He works for UNICEF. And his apology is one more statement to his kindness. Please social media, leave Tom out of your negative poison. He’s one of the good ones.

He was obviously was caught by surprise. If you see the clip of his reaction, he was shocked. I think we can cut him a little slack for the awkwardness, his intentions were noble. Poor guy, he looked so sad when TMZ told him about the poor reception.
