Mrs. Carter: On the night Nick Viall officially begins his TV journey as “The Bachelor,” another relationship from the show seems to be at an end.
In a statement to Us Weekly, Amanda Stanton confirmed that she and Josh Murray, who she dated on the recent third season of “Bachelor in Paradise,” are officially over. The breakup was first reported weeks ago, but based on some reports that they could have been filming something together recently, there were some questions about a possible reconciliation. That’s not the case.
We’ll give Amanda some credit here, since what she had to say when addressing the split was classy and refreshingly honest:
“We did break up. It’s been kind of a weird situation because we broke up and we didn’t release a statement, obviously, so I think people have been kind of going crazy wondering if we’re together or if we’re not and we’re not … It wasn’t something that I was trying to hide. I just didn’t know what the right time was to say something or really what to say about it. I think it’s good to kind of set the record straight. Hopefully everyone can know the truth now.”
What is nice about this is that Amanda didn’t throw him under the bus, and she and Josh didn’t just release some generic statement about it, either. Knowing when to talk about a breakup is something that people go through a number of times in life, and the majority of the time, breakups don’t have to do with tabloids constantly in your business. We’re sure that for these two, at this point they really just want to move on and see what is next for them in their lives. We of course do wonder if either one of them again will do “Bachelor in Paradise,” but it may be a little too early to tell at the moment since that is still rather far away.
With this being official, Evan Bass and Carly Waddell are the last “Bachelor in Paradise” couple from this past season who is still together.
