“The Glee Project” is continuing its habit of releasing music videos from upcoming episodes several days in advance, and we already have our first look at what the remaining contestants have done with Jessie J’s megahit “Price Tag.”
In terms of its theme, this is probably the strangest video that the show has done all season. Basically, the contestants are trying to prove that it’s “not about the money” by putting on white-and-blue t-shirts and dancing around Universal CityWalk while Aylin gives all of them the stink eye. Is this evidence to anyone else that Aylin wins the homework assignment for the week? We’re going all in on this, and based on the way she plays against type here, we are almost positive that she will be safe for another week.
As for the other contestants, this video really does not allow very many of them an opportunity to actually stand out. Shanna and Michael both do a solid job, and at this point Mario and Charlie have turned us off with their attitudes so much that we have a hard time really rooting for them. Ali stands out for all the wrong reasons, but we blame that mostly on her voice not really suiting this song in any way. It sounds screechy, and we have a feeling that she and the aforementioned Charlie and Mario are probably going to be the ones in trouble on Tuesday night.
Who do you think are the standouts of this music video? Be sure to check out some more of our “Glee Project” coverage, including a few words from the recently-eliminated Tyler Ford about his experience on the show and the viewer reaction to him being transgender.
