Agreed, Kate. There was a lot of talk after the episode Light My Fire that they should cast Robert Wagner as Bull’s dad, and I was against that too, just like I’d be against casting Jessica Steen, Sasha Alexander, or any of the other former NCIS regulars, at least for the first season or so.

I’d actually like to see Bull move away from the NCIS references and build its own identity. Too many people read too much into the references.

BTW, why CdP’s fans don’t want her to move on and have her own career? Why they want her to be paired again with MW instead of building her own career based on her talent?

I know, right? I was actually hoping Prototype would get picked up – it looked interesting. And her character was totally different than Ziva, which would have given her a chance to really spread her wings.

I guess they’re also powerful enough to blackball her from Syfy channel as well, which chose not to develop her pilot. Which is a shame, actually – Prototype looked interesting and I think it would have been great for her to play a totally different character than Ziva. It would have given her a chance to stretch herself and show her acting chops.

IMO Bull needs to build its own story and personality, clearly establish relationships and roles, and only then they can start thinking about an enemy/antagonist that follows JB through the episodes.
This antagonist should be someone we meet during the show and not someone from Bull’s past, as they did for example with Gibbs/Hernandez/Paloma-Alejandro. It needs to be someone we learn about
during a case, we ‘live’ and not just someone they tell us about when he/she shows up.

Don’t you think that the
very unprofessional way she left NCIS, her fast and loose when they
asked her to return ’cause they wanted to close with Ziva/tiva, her
‘spitting in the plate’ she’s eaten for year (the same plate that gave
her success, fame and money) and all of her failures after NCIS, are the
reasons behind the fact she had to take acting lessons and the fact it
seems no one wants to hire her?

MW has his own very succefull show, why don’t you want the same thing for your idol? Sometimes it seems her fans don’t see CdP strong enough to be the protagonist of her own show… Weird!

Nope. No phobia here. I would love for Cote to find a new project — TV, film or Broadway — that showcases her “triple threat” talents, as opposed to having her show up on Bull. There are at least a dozen current network & cable shows she could join and bring a real spark to their casts. But the only one people want her on is Bull. Why? Because then the Tiva people get their Tiva back. Except they don’t. Because Tiva left the building when Tony did.

Not wanting Cote to follow behind Michael and end up on his show instead of her own isn’t a phobia. It’s wanting Cote to have a life away from Tiva too.
