And hardly a mention of Una Stubbs’s brilliant, funny and emotional performance. She stole it for me. Not really a review, you kinda just describe what happens in the episode with occasional questions.

Anyone else more than a little made up that Martin Freemans ex-missus is no longer part of it? Though even in this it still made me twitch whenever her ‘I’m acting smug with the smug acting I’m meant to be acting by being smug all over my smug face’ was on screen. I directly blame her for the Series 3 smugness, self-knowing, isn’t this clever complete nose dive into a soap opera the show made. I watch the first two series over and over because of the stories and the acting of the main characters. Series 3 is just a bad dream that this series has hopefully just woken up from.
