Even though “Once Upon a time” may have a cast that is quite frankly enormous at times, don’t expect the show to skimp out on a few people early in season 2 when it comes to sharing some characters updates. Rather, the plan is to give us a taste of how the change in Storybrooke impacts everyone across the board — even if it may help some people (Regina) more so than others.
To squelch some fears that the season 2 premiere this fall was going to just stay focused on just the Charming family, consulting producer and writer Jane Espenson told TV Guide that everyone we have come to know and love will really have a role:
“Don’t worry, we won’t be skipping over any big moments … We love these characters and we want to see how they navigate their way through their new situation. And not just the Charming Family… expect big moments for everyone in town!”
If we were to make a list of the moments we would like to see on the show, it would go something like this:
-Belle and Rumpelstiltskin actually trying to have a real relationship now that they are in a place where they can.
-Seeing what happens (if anything) to August W. Booth now that magic is back in the world.
-Finding out whether or not Red will turn once again into the Big Bad Wolf at night and possibly become an uncontrollable villain.
-What sorts of limitations there are to the magic, and if anyone is truly able to use it.
While we can’t expect that everyone in Storybrooke will be able to utilize the new magic powers overtaking the small town, we can say that everyone will be affected somehow and what makes this new aspect of the show even more interesting is that there are some fairytale characters that have not even been introduced to us yet.
