Disney Channel

The 2011 ALMA Award nominations have been announces, and there plenty of major stars in the Latino community who have been nominated in the categories of film, TV, and music.

As for who is leading the way this year, you have to look in the direction of 19-year old Selena Gomez. The Disney Channel star is up for three nominations — one as a female music artist, one as a movie actress for “Monte Carlo,” and another for her role on “Wizards of Waverly Place.” Meanwhile, Christina Aguilera also has three courtesy of her music and film work alongside her spot as a judge on “The Voice.”

As for some other nominees, we have the likes of “Glee” star Naya Rivera, Jennifer Lopez (who is up both for music and her “American Idol” judging gig), and actor Antonia Banderas.

The ALMA Award recipients will be revealed in an hour-long ceremony September 16 on NBC, with George Lopez and Eva Longoria booked as the hosts. To find out information on how to vote, head on over to this link.
