‘Breaking Bad’ to screen season 5 premiere at Comic-Con

Coming to Comic-Con!

Do you want to see the “Breaking Bad” season 5 premiere a little bit early? If so, you’re best served to start buying yourself some tickets to Comic-Con in San Diego.

The Los Angeles Times first reported that the AMC series is going to have its first-ever panel for the show on July 14, and it will feature all of the returning series regulars — including Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, and Anna Gunn. The premiere episode will be screened at the event, which gives members of the “Breaking Bad” faithful one less day to have to sit around frantically with anticipation of what Walter White is going to do now that Gus Fring is out of the way and he is the unofficial “king” of his dangerous business.

As we’ve written about for much of the past month, this is going to be an intriguing season mostly in that we’re not sure how someone like Walter White really manages to survive it. Is there any real way that he can atone for what he has done? We don’t really think so, but what we do believe is going to be an interesting dynamic this season is seeing if Jesse can somehow find a way to the light — the two lead characters seem to be going down separate paths, and how these two handle this is one of the reasons we are so excited about this series to try and eclipse what has already been an absolutely incredible run on TV.

Are you planning to attend the “Breaking Bad” panel? If not, don’t fret — we’re going to have plenty of coverage of the discussion, including any scoop that comes out of it, after the event happens.
