On Monday night’s new episode of “The Bachelorette,” we are going to have our first opportunity to see how Emily Maynard functions on some of the hometown dates. For one of these guys, we are going to see him face an obstacle almost immediately.
It’s no secret that women are not always attracted to a man who lives with his parents. When this man is trying to win over a single mom, the hesitation here is increased tenfold. When you are responsible for caring for two people, are you going to be able to make that jump after living under the care of somebody else? This is going to be the likely question that Emily asks herself as she tries to figure out whether or not Sean Lowe is truly someone she can see herself and Ricki having a life with right away. He seems like a great guy, and there may even be a reason why he lives with his parents — we just don’t know what it is yet.
As for some of the other dates, the one featuring Chris Bukowski seems particularly engaging in that he has an enormous Polish family. Let’s just hope that Emily loves food and dancing, since she is going to be getting plenty of it here. Jef Holm’s date is especially going to be particularly interesting, since his parents are away (presumably on a mission) and the only people he can introduce Emily to for the time being are his siblings. This may actually be the less intimidating of all of Emily’s hometown dates, since it may be easier for her to relate to people her own age.
Do you think Sean living at home may be an issue for Emily, and who do you expect to rise as a favorite from these hometown dates? Be sure to weigh in on who you want to see win Emily’s heart in our comments section.
