With a new story comes new challenges, and for Cory Monteith one of those appears to be finding a way to get into even better shape for season 4 of “Glee.” Although his character of Finn Hudson may have been a high school quarterback, he is now in a position that is going to test himself more than ever from a physical standpoint.
“Finn would have to be in very good shape and get incredibly fit, meaning I would have to be incredibly fit … I’m doing extra stuff this summer – CrossFit and fewer Snickers bars.”
So where will we actually see Finn during the September 13 season premiere? That is the question that is still floating around. It’s possible that he could be off to basic training, or he may also still be stuck in Lima waiting for his training to start. One thing does seem to be certain, though — don’t expect him to be in New York City with his ex-fiancee Rachel Berry right away. It would completely take away from the emotional finale last year to see him suddenly in the Big Apple at the start of the year, and Finn is going to have to realize that he doesn’t need to prove anything to himself or anybody else by trying to redeem his family’s name. Co-creator Ryan Murphy has called Finn’s storyline “a big secret,” so if nothing else let’s hope that we end up surprised by what happens.
