The only thing that Season 4a accomplished was continue to destroy the dynamic between Red and Liz. The Red/Liz dynamic was the reason the show was successful. But the TPTB decided to focus on redeeming Tom for 20 episodes instead of cultivating the Red/Liz dynamic and focusing on catching Blacklisters. It is a crime drama not a daytime soap opera. Now they have completely dad-zoned Red, quashing the chemistry between Red/Liz and the reason they were successful. The Blacklist is now referred to the Babylist..that says it all. The show is bleeding viewers and cancellation is an actual possibility…good job TPTB.

The ‘creative’ Kaplan story required Reddington to miss and not come back to personally bury Mr Kaplan. It’s simply preposterous.

Ressler did do something. Looked like he’d been a signed up member top ‘torturers R us’ since he was a toddler. Just , no. So out of character.

Berlin just wanted Red dead.

Kirk needs a cure. He also needs to prove that he’s the better man than Red. He can’t so that, if he kills Red. Kirk’s a much harder character to portray and write for. Additional complication in that he wants his family back. The actor did do his best. Same can’t be said for the writers.
