‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’: Kyle Richards calls season 1 ‘torture’

Bravo

When you are on a popular reality show with your sister — and it also happens to be one that tends to highlight the drama going on in everyone’s lives — you pretty much have to expect that it is going to be by and large a rocky road. If Kyle Richards didn’t realize this before going on the first season of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” she certainly knows it to be true now.

Speaking out the first season in a new interview, Kyle claimed that the hardest part about the experience was attending the reunion special — which occurred after you saw what some of your fellow co-stars actually said about you behind closed doors:

“The reunion was absolutely torture. It’s absolutely torture because you see things that the girls are saying that you never knew they said about you, and all of a sudden you’re like, ‘Wait a minute! I thought that we were friends? I thought we were OK?’ “

One of the hardest parts of season one for Kyle was outing her sister Kim’s struggles with addiction, and you can surely expect the after-effects of this situation to bleed through to season two. The next installment of “Beverly Hills” is set to premiere on September 4 on Bravo.

Knowing all the drama that goes into a show like this, would you ever agree to do it?
