Ryan Murphy has already made the careers of a number of actors on television — is it also possible that he could be a matchmaker? While it’s pretty unlikely that Murphy actually played any role at all in the new rumored romance between “American Horror Story” star Zachary Quinto and Broadway actor Jonathan Groff (who also played Jesse St. James in multiple episodes of “Glee“), it is pretty interesting that the two parties have each played roles in some of his hit series over the past couple of years.
This weekend, Groff was spotted alongside Quinto (who is playing a new role on season 2 of “American Horror Story” after being a recurring star the first time around) while out in Central Park. They also reportedly took in a showing of William Shakespeare’s classic play “As You Like It” — which was made even more amazing by the fact that it was outdoors.
While there’s nothing official out there saying that these two actors are a couple, things are certainly looking good for them thanks to multiple photos that are working their way around the internet of them smiling and having a great time together during Pride Week in New York.
In addition to their aforementioned shows, you can catch Groff next on season 2 of the Starz series “Boss” — where he is playing a new character in an aide to Kelsey Grammer’s Chicago mayor. Meanwhile, Quinto will be reprising his role as Spock in the upcoming feature film sequel to “Star Trek” directed by J.J. Abrams. Thanks to this and the second season of “American Horror Story,” he is turning out to have a rather eventful 2012.
What do you think — are Groff and Quinto a good match?
