‘American Idol’ notes: David Archuleta, Phillip Phillips, and Scotty McCreery

David has a new music video.

We have another edition of “American Idol” notes lined up for this Sunday, and we have everything from music videos to surprise concerts. Overall, there’s quite a bit to be happy about!

David Archuleta’s “I’ll Never Go” video arrives – If you are a fan of David Archuleta, then you are probably used to waiting at this point. the season 7 star is currently on a Mormon mission, and his content is rolling out at a slow pace in order to space things out before he returns.

In the video below, you can check out David’s just-released video for “I’ll Never Go” — a track off of his OPM album “Forevermore” that was released in the Philippines earlier this year. This was filmed back when David was still in the country, and is more than effective of achieving some great emotion despite being relatively simplistic in structure.

Scotty performs a surprise concert – In the video below, you can check out the reaction of some Scotty McCreery fans surprised by a free concert the season 10 champ threw recently in Greensboro, North Carolina — a place not too far from his home city of Garner.

There’s not too much from this video (which was taken by a local Fox affiliate), but it does give us yet another reason to appreciate how Scotty treats his fans. Shouldn’t that be enough of a reason to check it out?

Phillips Phillips has plenty of love – Even though it’s possible that our reigning champ may not be at full strength when he departs on tour early next month, he should get some support while on the road courtesy of some of his fellow contestants.

Speaking at the tour’s recent media day to RumorFix, Jessica Sanchez had the following to say about how Phillip will be taken care of on the road — and how really, everyone is just going to be excited to have him around again:

“We’re all a big family. Brothers and sisters. We take care of each other. So when he gets back we’re gonna be taking care of him. It’s nothing like ‘Oh, we haven’t seen you so were not gonna pay attention to you.’ It’s gonna be like, ‘Oh, you’re back! We’re gonna take care of you!’ We’re a big family, were really supportive of each other.”

As always, check back for more “American Idol” news!
