Personally I haven't read the books and like to think of the show as its own independent thing. Still, I do think it's best to let the viewers dictate the show's long-term future rather than give into the pressures of complaints. I certainly like Ross a lot less than I did before the scene, but I'm willing to see the story through.

Good Lord it was never rape, she never once said no. All she said was he would not dare ..... she was a willing participant the whole time. One does not lie about with their rapist after the deed, and want to know when he is coming back. Ridiculous. This reeks of ITV interference. And rape which this was not, has been a mainstay of most adult dramas for years. The moral high horse is a bit much. As for Ross, yes he has some making up too do. But then it would not be much of a story if all was rainbows and unicorns, would it. And in the book it was never called rape either, the author left that up to the reader.
