It was frustrating that we never got to see Paul's wife again after she tried (considered?) killing her kids and herself. It was good that we saw his daughter one last time, but her decision not to see her daddy until she was grown up or had a baby of her own was awfully convenient. There were so many threads to tie up and the ending seemed rushed. The psychological "insight" that Paul/Peter, Stella, and Paul's teenage fan, Katie, all lost a parent of the opposite sex to suicide seemed like it was supposed to be profound, but wasn't. This show certainly went the "show, not tell" route (despite an enormous amount of exposition crammed into the last 2 episodes about "Peter's" time in the boys home and in London) in terms of dialogue. I'm still not sure what the show was trying to accomplish. Maybe a meditation on evil and the choice to act upon dark impulses? Finally, why, why, why was it called, "The Fall"? Whose fall? Fall from what? Was it just a biblical reference? Has anyone read anything from the creators of this show explaining the title (and anything else)?

Of course the acting was superb - I'd watch Gillian Anderson do anything (which sadly led me to watch most of that atrocious show about the bus of rich kids that get kidnapped). Jaime Dornan was fantastic. Really great performances all around, but flawed writing. Oh well.

I found the journey disturbing but very interesting. It wasn't pleasant to watch something coming from the very dark places of human nature, still very well acted and I think well presented.
I do not find it misogynistic, even though Spector certainly was.
It doesnt matter if he went to trial or not,at the end he was caught and stop being a threat. This I call a satisfying ending, since you cannot have a happy ending in a serial murderer case, can you?
I dont believe the principal female characters would like to be his executioners, this not how society should work.

I liked it.. BUT the whole "style over sense" can be very frustrating.
There is zero realism on how a dangerous criminal after confessing one murder and attacking 2 police officers is left free running around a clinic and he still has access to dangerous object (I paused the player laughing when I realized there was a pool table in the clinic with.. cue sticks. Cue sticks. Cue sticks in the hands of psychotic murderers. Cue sticks.. I am sorry I repeat it so I can digest it).
Hopefully if there is a season 4 they will manage to make it a tad more realistic.
I for once, wanna see more of Stella Gibson.

It's hard to be excited about an ending that leaves you feeling unsatisfied. I understand that not every show can give the audience a happy ending (or at least an ending where justice is served), but this felt really empty. like the journey was for nothing.

I was disgusted to be honest. After watching Paul Spector assault, torture and kill so many women it seemed to me fitting that one of the principal female characters should have been the ones to end his life. It stinks that he retained control until the end. Misogynistic writing at its best.
