Who is going to be romancing Meg on “Family Guy” this fall? Let’s just say that it is someone who plenty of girls across America would be happy to have as their own personal love interest.
According to Entertainment Weekly, “Twilight” actor Kellan Lutz is set to play a rather interesting role this fall as a high school football player who is the target of Meg’s affection. Over time, he does agree to go out with her, but there is a major twist that happens as a result — he becomes interested in someone else in the Griffin family … and we’re not talking about Lois. (There’s no word on whether or not Kellan’s character has the same sort of science-defying abs.)
This role will be another TV appearance for Lutz, who recently guest-hosted an episode of “Punk’d” that was chock full of humor as he went after the likes of Julianne Hough and some other celebrities. His other TV credits include “90210” and the short-lived Lisa Kudrow series “The Comeback.”
As for “Family Guy,” expect plenty of humor from the Griffins when the Seth MacFarlane series returns to Fox on Sunday, September 30. (Unfortunately, there’s no specific date announced yet for Lutz’s episode.)
What do you think about this casting, and do you hope that this sets off some sort of bizarre trend of “Twilight” actors making appearances on irreverent comedy series moving forward?
