Is the friendship between Jacqueline Laurita and Teresa Giudice over? Based on what we are seeing from Sunday night’s new episode of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” you may as well check the “yes” box on this one.
For people who have been following this dysfunctional friendship, the writing on the wall has been there for some time. Teresa and Jacqueline were once close about everything, but over the past year or so there have been a few inaccurate statements tossed around. Not only that, but there’s also the drama that stemmed from Melissa Gorga joining the cast. Before she was around, Teresa may not have been as keen to talk about her as much — but now that the conflict is repeatedly thrown in her face, it’s something that really does not venture too far from her mind. Jacqueline has (understandably) grown tired of having to deal with the near-constant drama all of the time, and it also does not help that Caroline Manzo is also at odds with her for a number of different reasons — including the insult from the cookbook that these ladies have been talking about for far too long.
At this point in the game, what we really need to see happen is something in the way of forward movement. If Jacqueline and Teresa are going to stop being friends, have it happen. In order for anyone to change it’s probably going to take them hitting rock bottom — and after several weeks of the show downward-spiraling at a pace that a tortoise could keep up with, we need a few blowups to speed the drama along. The biggest wrong that a reality show can do is give us too much of the same thing, and at this moment Teresa seems to be firmly stuck in a bad situation entertainment-wise.
Do you think that Teresa and Jacqueline will be friends again, and is this blowup (which you can see below) the best thing that the show could ever hope for to change things up?
