Over the first three weeks of “Pretty Little Liars” season 3, Lucas has shown off a very different side than the guy we first came to know in Rosewood — mostly in that he’s entered the emo phase of his life and has started to speak in riddles. Does he have an agenda? We sure hope so, since the only other feasible explanation we can think of is that he is simply being vague for the sake of being “cool” — and that would be beyond annoying.
Thankfully, the man behind the role seems to be suggesting that there is a motive behind what Lucas is doing, and it may not necessarily be what you think. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, actor Brendan Robinson suggested that the character may actually be interested in helping Hanna out in a roundabout way:
“Lucas’ point of view is that everything is right in front of Hanna and all she needs to do is really open her eyes and really think about what’s going on, and all the answers are in front of her … It’s a situation where he won’t spill everything to her but at the same time, he’s leading on the fact that she can figure it out herself. It’s all right here.”
We are going to see plenty more of Lucas’ new attitude in the weeks ahead — just don’t expect the same sort of shy guy to turn up at some point a little later on in the season. At this point, we just want to know whether or not he is a member of the “A Team.”
Do you think Lucas is up to something sinister, or is he just in some sort of position where he wants to help Hanna while at the same time protecting himself?
