Earlier this month, we posted that actor Matt Gerald (“Avatar”) was joining the cast of “Dexter” season 7 in a recurring capacity as a tough, blue-collar worker with a bit of a violent past. Now, the man himself is announcing that he is on the show’s set starting off work on his role.
In a post on Twitter Wednesday, Gerald announced that he was starting up some work alongside Lauren Mayhew (whose credits include an episode of “CSI” and “American Dreams”). You can check out a photo of the two over at Dexter Daily.
Gerald and Mayhew are part of what is turning out to be a rather star-packed guest cast for the new season, which includes the likes of Ray Stevenson, Katia Winer, and “Chuck” alum Yvonne Strahovski — whose character of Hannah is currently the most-buzzed-about new addition of the season (mainly because we know nothing about her, but are hoping she’ll be the new villain). Gentleman’s clubs are going to play a major role in some shape or form — as will whatever happens now that Deb knows about her brother’s infamous dark passenger.
Season 7 of “Dexter” premieres on Showtime Sunday, September 30, and we will find out even more about the show when Strahovski comes to Comic-Con in San Diego on July 12 alongside series stars Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter. Stay tuned — just as we have for much of June thus far, we’re going to have plenty more in the way of “Dexter” scoop as soon as we find it out.
Even though last season was polarizing, are you still excited to see what is coming up next?
