In fact I was considering not watching any of DTWS on principle when they signed him.
However, watching last night (giving benefit of the doubt that nothing was staged from any corner) I struggled, but actually felt bad for him – he looked genuinely shocked & upset (*admitting here that “stupefied” was the first word that came to mind – and did he hide behind her?), and then Cheryl saying he was genuinely nice…

Anyway, like you I’m not even close to letting him off the hook for Rio… but I firmly agree that nobody should be treated that way, if indeed he’s genuinely trying his best.
