If you watched the first season of “The Lying Game,” then the following story may be a bit of a foregone conclusion. During the season 1 finale, we found out that Charisma Carpenter’s Rebecca was actually the twins’ mother — and with that, it’s no shock at all to find out that the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Angel” alum is going to have a larger presence on the ABC Family show moving forward.
Just how increased will this role be? According to Variety, Carpenter is poised to become a series regular for the new season, and could end up appearing in just about every episode. Even before “The Lying Game,” Carpenter was no stranger than ABC Family — she appeared in multiple episodes of “Greek” over the course of its run. Some of her other recent TV credits include “Veronica Mars” and “Supernatural.” (She will also be making an appearance in “The Expendables 2.”)
Sadly, there’s no word just yet on when we can see the second adaptation of a Sara Shepard series (following “Pretty Little Liars“) back on TV. The currently-planned premiere window is “winter 2012,” and while this likely means that it will be returning in January, you can never really know until the announcement is made official.
