There is now only one episode left of “The Night Of” to watch on HBO, and that is a particularly terrifying thought when you consider precisely how much story there is to tell of Nasir Khan in turns of whether or not he ever gets to experience life outside of prison. Luckily, the final episode is slated to run for a good 105 minutes, but even still, the show may have to cram quite a lot in.
So in order to preview this finale all the better, and discuss everything that has transpired on the series so far, we are here with the latest edition of our CarterMatt Podcast! Once again Jason Prager is on board with some of insight, and as a gym rat he is also here to attest to some of the authenticity of some of the scenes there. We got through the continued investigation, the trial, and of course the controversial kiss between Chandra and Naz that has much of the internet talking.
Also, we get down to brass tacks with the question everyone wants some sort of answer to at the moment: Will Naz be found guilty? Or, to make it even more complicated, even if he is found not guilty, is there a chance that he could end up ever having a normal life once more? One of the things that the show has done so brilliantly is make clear what the larger impact of this case is in terms of everyone that is close to him, from his family to his friends to even other Muslim-Americans living in New York City.
Rest assured that in the days following the finale, we’re going to have one more podcast with Jason to break things down further, and talk about what the future of the show could be.
