Lake Shore Boulevard was closed down on Monday and again today to allow the production team of the new Colin Farrell movie ‘Total Recall’ to film.

Numerous motorists that regularly use the Lake Shore to commute to and from work every day were forced to find alternate routes around the city to avoid the film set which was covered in film props and flying cars.

The Lake Shore is closed between Jarvis and Parliament, but will be opened back up to drivers at 9 p.m. tonight.

The ‘Total Recall’ remake stars Colin Farrell, Jessica Biel, Kate Beckinsale, and Bryan Cranston and with its $200 million budget, this makes ‘Total Recall’ the largest film production in Toronto history.

‘Total Recall’ is directed by Len Wiseman, and will be hitting theaters in 2012.
