I agree on that, the team aspect didn’t do much except give artists time off from a challenge, which is kinda weird to me, almost like all of the artists have only played half the game that others have in past seasons. Also very interesting that the teams didn’t create any alliances, which I’m sure producers were hoping happened and instead it’s cross team.

I’m not sure the team aspect really did much of anything for the show in the end. It seems like the whole idea was undermined by the fact that the teams competed with themselves more than they did with the other team. I lieu of any real alliances forming on the basis of the teams, the competitors formed these gender alliances on their own, which are much more compelling anyway.

I’m hoping that the format will change at that point and be every artist for themselves, because this deep into the competition there shouldn’t be whole weeks where artists sit out.

It’ll be interesting to see if the format changes once Peck and Nunez get down to their respective “final fives”. They seem to be hinting that everything will change at that point.
