On Sunday night’s new episode of “The Night Of,” we witnessed the further transformation of one Nasir Khan into someone who looks physically different and is much more dangerous than before. Could you say that he has … broke bad?
This subject is at least something that we (being Matt Carter and Jason Prager) discuss further in our latest edition of the CarterMatt Podcast, where we break down some of the events of this past episode, plus a variety of other random topics including eczema, cats, “Sesame Street,” and also whether or not Duane Reade is a believable name for someone in New York City.
Also, random thought: How many readers / listeners out there were familiar with Duane Reade after seeing the episode? We ask the question as someone who is only familiar with it because of a few isolated trips to New York we’ve made over the years.
The craziest thing to us now is the simple fact that we are five episodes into the season, and there are now only three to go and so many more answers we need. We feel almost like from an investigative standpoint, there is really not that much time left to carry out the story. The one thing that we are certainly hoping is that we’re not going to just have a situation at the end of this where we get too preachy about a message on the modern prison system. We know it is horrible, and don’t even need to focus on that more than just a line or two in order to be aware.
