For most of last season and this season I thought Kieran was the likely Killer. He just was never with the Killer, never got a phone call from the Killer and made a habit of showing up just after the Killer fled (e. g.: bowling alley, carnival, barn). Kieran had motive to kill Will when Emma chose him in season one. He had clippings of the Brandon James murders in season one that were likely used in season two. Kieran was likely Brandon James grandson, as she implied.
Then in the last two weeks, I hedged thinking why was Kevin Duval (Emma’s Dad) even needed for the story? Maybe all of these Kieran clues was to throw people off with a surprise Killer.
No such luck! The boyfriend (aka: Billy Loomis) was the Killer. Just wish if it had to be Kieran, that he could have been unmasked literally. Still if all 22 episodes were watched in a marathon, it would be a good story.
