I don't find Joss's storyline very out there actually. She's dealing with a really major trauma from the previous season and not dealing with it well. I think it's sort of realistic. Usually when terrible things happen to people in a show they bounce back the next season like it's all old news. This is watching a character slowly unravel at the seams. She is taken sort of pain medication to calm her anxiety and alternately trying to beat it at through intense physical exercise - basically she's not coping and she's trying everything possible to keep it together, but she's really falling apart... this type of behavior is a lot more common then is publically acknowledged and I really like Mistresses for having a public forum on this topic.

I think there are a few too many side characters bogging the show down at the moment.. the Nanny, Kate and her BFF from the store... April's mum who she hated last season and would now throw away a great love to jump to her side )very random)... The side characters just aren't really exciting (except for Harry's new boss who I love) and there's too many of them! If they had at least kept Scott as Kate's actual love topic and created some good awkward dynamic that could have been fun, but they shot it dead. As if he's still obscessed with Joss and ready to jump back in after she completely humiliated him - that's a hard pill to swallow. Kate could have been used a lot better, She's gorgeous and a great actress. It's a shame.
