It’s sad to think about, but we are still almost four months away from the return of “Hart of Dixie” to television. While we don’t know whether or not Zoe chooses to be with George or Wade, we do have a new promotional image to share that was just uploaded to the internet via the CW upfront presentation last month.
The image comes to us courtesy of SpoilerTV, and it really doesn’t do much for us when it comes to actually telling us anything new about the show. However, we will at least say that we like the color scheme and the style of it, and reminds us that much more on what we’re holding out to see more of. One thing that is rather interesting about the poster is that George and Lemon are positioned very close together – almost like they are a couple. Could this be foreshadowing for season 2?
“Hart of Dixie” was renewed for a second season in the 11th hour, and may actually have a better chance to succeed this fall courtesy of a new timeslot that is free of “Gossip Girl” (Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time), and a lineup that should be promoted better thanks to the obvious medical connection. The show will lead in to the new drama “Emily Owens M.D.” at 9.
There’s still not much known about the story for season 2, but expect to see George and Wade face off pretty early on, and then often as they each compete for the affections of one woman who affected their lives in some rather unique ways throughout the entire first season. Heck, George was willing to give up a wedding to be with her. (In case you’re wondering why he and Lemon look so chummy in the image, it’s probably because this was first designed to be unveiled days after the finale, and they may have not wanted to spoil anything just yet.)
What do you think about this image? We’ll have more on Rachel Bilson and company (including a few plot spoilers here and there) throughout the summer months.
