“The Night Of” episode 3 contained a story that was a little bit different in many ways from what came before it. The first two episodes appeared on the surface like they could be one of the greatest mysteries in recent TV memory; yet, for episode three it felt somewhat like the show reversed course.
Is it our fault for thinking that the show was more of a mystery and less of a crime drama, or is it more the show’s fault for leading us down that direction? That is something we’re going to try to figure out in the latest edition of our CarterMatt Podcast with Jason Prager. Obviously, there is one difference that should be apparent right out of the gate to many of you, and that is an empty video in the podcast below. The reason for that is that we were having some trouble with audio quality through Google Hangouts, and given that the vast majority of our viewers / listeners listen after the fact, we want to provide the best listening experience possible.
Alas, that means no more videos, but we’ll continue to upload them to YouTube just so that those of you who prefer to listen over there can.
In this podcast, there’s a good discussion about expectations for this show, the role of the prison sequences, and also whether or not John Stone is going to be able to work his way back in as a defense attorney. This is a little bit of a shorter podcast this time, but we will continue to get these sent out on a weekly basis.
