In NYC if you are charged with murder you are almost always going to be initially remanded. In a case like this not a chance bail would be set. Stone was just going through the motions, but a judge in real life wouldn’t even bother trying to make it seem like they considered setting bail. That was all for the tv viewers. The reality is they would simply say remand and that would be the end of the discussion. Other parts of the country things seem to be done differently, but where this is set not a chance of bail.
