“Once Upon a Time” will start up shooting its second season at the end of the month, and with the date rapidly approaching (though not as fast as the magic approached Storybrooke in the season finale), one cast member in particular is already dreaming up ideas for what we could see on the show.
Speaking to TVLine at the Young Hollywood Awards this weekend, Ginnifer Goodwin (who we know as Snow White and/or Mary Margaret) shared a hope that many of us share — that we will see the evolution of a relationship now between Mary Margaret and Emma Swan now that the truth is out there about their mother/daughter connection:
“It’s the creators’ choice and Jennifer Morrison’s choice, but I would assume that there would be some kind of resentment there on the part of our daughter because of what she went through after we gave her up … I’m anxious to explore that.”
Of course, Snow gave up her daughter for a pretty good reason — and we have to believe that Emma would understand that. We we are personally a bit more anxious to see is whether or not this new relationship dynamic impacts the friendship between the couple in any sort of new or surprising way. (By the same token, Emma also now has a new father in David — and at times she has held both of them as potential suspects in Kathryn’s disappearance.)
Will all of this be awkward? We’re certainly expecting so. Be sure to share your own hopes for the season 2 story below — and to check out our list of the characters we would most like to see in the Storybrooke / fairy tale universe, head on over to this link.
