Well I for one won’t miss Beckett’s character. While I think Stana Kadic is a brilliant actress, I haven’t liked her character since “Rise” when she admitted remembering Castle saying he loves her and just strings him along.

And then, in “Always” Castle says ” I love you Kate, and if that means anything to you, if you care about me at all, just don’t do this.” And what does she do – totally ignores him. Am I the only person who thinks that, if she had captured Maddox, Castle wouldn’t have got a look in – he was her consolation prize.

Mind you, I think the writers have also ruined Castles character. He’s always been lighthearted, but astute, giving insights that the others had missed. For the last two seasons however, they written him as an buffoon, with a juvenile sense of humour.

If there is a season 9 I shall certainly watch it, just to see where they take the show. I like all the characters, including Hayley, and I think there’s plenty of room for development.

I cannot believe that Disney, supposedly a strong defender of family values, is willing to take a black eye from so many viewers so as to be led by the nose by a pudgy, middle-aged mediocre actor for the sake of squeezing out a few more episodes under the name Castle. I would think that the probable lost revenues from DVD sales, alone, would be enough to convince the PTB to show the “happy ending” version of 8×22 and then bring the series to an end. Should they decide otherwise Disney, ABC and whatever advertisers are so foolish to go along for the ride will, I believe, face a PR fallout of monumental proportions.

He acts so indifferent around her, she makes her own coffee, calling each other Castle and Beckett exclusively now. His overacting irritates me. HER story made his character loveable.

I feel we wanted to see Beckett one more time, A little disappointed she was in it less than 5 minutes. The other five Rick and the boys, Castle daughter and the Beckett want to be had a whole lot of time. You think that the show runners knowing that it was the second to last episode of Castle, they would of had more Rick and Kate time.
