In his flashbacks the ages are all the same, him being about the same age as the woman (who therefore can’t be his mother) and the boy being way younger than him (who is therefore unlikely to be his brother). He also appeared to play with the boy in a very father-son-like manner. But do correct me if I’m wrong :)
