At this point, do you wonder if Fox regrets canceling the “So You think You Can Dance” results show? Based on some of the new numbers that are starting to creep in, they may very well feel this way.
Fox – First and foremost, “Take Me Out” plummeted down to a meager 1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which suggests that “master of love” George Lopez is probably soon going to become the master of a pretty different domain in the unemployment line for TV hosts. (He’s already been there before courtesy of “Lopez Tonight.”)
“The Choice” followed this show up with a 1.5 that was slightly better, but still down double-digits versus the show’s premiere — and this was with a pretty big star on the panel in Joe Jonas. Hey, at least Cat Deeley still has “So You Think You Can Dance” to fall back on.
ABC – The NBA Finals delivered its best Game 2 ratings in eight years (at least in the overnight numbers) — we’re not going to have any firm numbers on this, though, until a little later in the day.
NBC – Couldn’t these guys at least try to help “Saving Hope” succeed? Instead, they are allowing it to pull 0.7 ratings without any sort of lead-in up against basketball. “Rock Center with Brian Williams,” meanwhile, has always rated badly. It scoring a 0.8 all things considered is actually okay.
The CW – The only other network who even bothered to try and put anything up against a basketball-oriented lineup, the network ran with a new “Breaking Pointe” that posted a 0.3 rating, up versus the week before. Then again, it’s not like the show had much room to go down.
How long do you think it will be before Fox replaces this Thursday night dating lineup with something new — and do you think it is at all possible that “So You Think You Can Dance” could get its results show back?
