Dave Chappelle had a rather bizarre situation occur while he was performing at a charity comedy show recently after hecklers got under his skin right at the beginning of his set.

During his performance, he got distracted by people taping him in the crowd and started up conversations with them.  He only told one joke, stared at the crowd silently and even checked his text messages during the performance.

Ronald Martin from CNN tweeted from the show, saying;

“Chappelle says this is a ‘test of wills.’ He keeps saying ‘tick tock’ and he has ‘nothing but time.’ He’s just staring at the crowd and sighing.”

Now Chappelle (who has largely stayed under the radar ever since his Comedy Central show) has come forward and acknowledged his “bad attitude” the next day during another set – while this one only lasted ten minutes, he at least told more than one joke (and received some sort of praise from the audience).
