Good point; however, in all fairness Walter did finally come to the realization that he loves Paige, so there’s that step. But you’re right — how can he progress if he is stopped in his tracks by Paige falling for Tim? One step forward…and we’re back to square one, only now Walter knows, but still can’t say. Boring.

I totally agree with you…besides i do not see how the writers want to make walters EQ and self confidence evolve if they put paige and tim together….

Well, after two seasons of waiting, this viewer is already bored of watching this dance, which has become pretty tedious. Even sweet patient Paige has finally moved on to another guy. If the writers were really creative, they would come up with more imaginative ways to keep us interested in how they stay together. Think of all the baggage Walter’s low EQ would bring to that relationship.

they probably are scared that the viewers would get bored if Walter and Paige would get together too ‘quickly’ and that’s why they would want to add some drama…. I think that if Walter manages to tell Paige his feelings on the premiere, Paige would never date Tim and we would have waige on the premiere… and they said it would not happen :(

I agree, and if that proves to be the case in the season 3 premier, I’m over and out. Why do the writers continue to insult us like this.

I think that the season premiere will start with Walter not being able to tell Paige how he feels (for whatever reason) and she ends up starting a relationship with Tim after their weekend alone in Tahoe. The producers said that there will always be ‘waige’ under the surface, even if there are with other people… which makes me think that they will put Tim and Paige together, and thereby adding some drama to Waige. preventing Walter to express his feelings to give her and Tim a chance (feeling not good enough for her maybe)… and probably it will take until late season 3 to see a resolution to this (Paige realizing she cannot suppress her feelings for Walter, or Walter admitting finally to her)… I think this scenario might be the ‘best’ in the producer’s eyes to drag the waige storyline a bit longer…which does not make me happy…

My guess is that they will drag this out until at least end of season 3…. with paige and tim together in the meantime… so frustrating…

For me, it wasn’t so much predictable as it was uninspired. I was hoping for more revelatory mind-games between Collins and Toby. “I know Happy longer than you”. Oh, that was such an intriguing opening, then nothing. And so what if Happy’s already married…she’s obviously not committed to it and has been separated for a very long time. Even if her marriage partner (we can’t assume gender distinctions anymore) is in a coma, divorce is still an option. “I love her; I’m a moron!” Yes, Walter, that’s been well established over the past two seasons, but PAIGE!…girl, I know you’ve got your pride, but you’re also supposed to translate the world for him! Instead, you give Walter the opportunity to deny his feelings for you again, then essentially have him send you off for a weekend with the boringly perfect guy who might be the pragmatically better choice, but is not the one with whom you have real chemistry and belong with. “I’m a moron” could have also served as the title of the finale. As Toby and his broken heart told Walter, “All that matters is LOVE!” I don’t even want to guess how much longer the writers are going to drag this out. Sorry Scorpion, season 3, I’m out of here.
