Typically you see contestants from “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” flock to “Bachelor Pad” like seagulls, at least as viewers if not participants. However, we can now say for sure that Emily Maynard will be doing neither.
Why isn’t she planning to watch? In a new post on Twitter, this season’s star made it clear that she was furious about show producers putting Kalon McMahon back on TV after he referred to her daughter Ricki as “baggage” — and then didn’t even apologize for it:
“The fact Kalon will ever be on any tv again makes me want to stab my eyeballs out with dull pencils. Too much?”
As if that wasn’t a harsh enough burn, what makes this story even more interesting is that recently-eliminated contestant Charlie Grogan (who volunteers and frequently works with children) posted a message to Emily shortly after her public flogging of Kalon:
“Apparently he was a better man then me!! (Thumbs up)”
While it would be easy to call Charlie out here for being pretty bitter, he does actually have a point in that Kalon was obviously a bad egg before the “baggage” revelation came to light, and yet Emily continued to keep him around for several weeks before sending him home in a sea of profanity.
What do you think is a bigger shock here — Emily swearing off “Bachelor Pad,” or Charlie publicly ripping Emily for a decision that she made on the show?
