Ratings: ‘So You Think You Can Dance,’ ABC’s ‘Duets’ reasonably steady

Can the dance series keep it up?

This is the time of the summer when some ratings for new shows start to drop — which is particularly bad when you have some shows that aren’t exactly hitting it out of the park to begin with.

If there is some good news to report, it’s that the few new programs on TV Wednesday night at least kept the audience that they have — even if they failed to increase it much (if at all).

Fox – “So You Think You Can Dance” slipped a tenth of a ratings point in the 18-49 demographic to a 2.4 for its two-hour show, but it is possible that it will pull even once the final numbers are available.

CBS -A new “Dogs in a City” kept up its woeful trend with a 0.9 rating, the same number that it scored last week. The lucky thing for CBS is that this show is only a temporary fix until “Big Brother” comes back next month.

ABC – The only other new program of the night was “Duets” — which stayed at its poor 1.2 rating for a special 90-minute episode that ran beginning at 9:30 p.m. Eastern time. Considering the travesty of an elimination that we saw, it’s hard to see it staying around beyond this season.

What did you end up watching (if anything) on network TV Wednesday?
