New tonight: ‘Burn Notice’ season 6, ‘Suits’ season 2 premiere on USA

Season 6 is here!

If you love USA, then Thursday night is going to be a big one for you. Two of the network’s popular series are returning with new episodes, and each promises to bring plenty of drama along with it.

In the case of “Burn Notice,” we have a show that is starting off season 6 with a pretty ambitious arc — one based around Fiona being locked away in prison. Like with “Royal Pains,” the show is opting for a bit more of a serialized feel this season — and as much as we enjoy seeing some stories of the week mixed in with some long-form storytelling, a little bit of change here and there is exciting.

As for everything else we have come to know and love with the show, it’s still there — from the high-octane action to the humor and spirit of it all.

Now, we return to the world of stylish men with the legal drama “Suits.” While Patrick J. Adams and company have not been around nearly as long as Jeffrey Donovan and Gabrielle Anwar, the show already has a snappy wit about it and a pretty serious fan following.

The good news is that if you are interested in diving into the show for the first time Thursday night, the video below does a pretty good job of introducing some of the characters and the story from the first season — while at the same time previewing what is going to be coming up this time around.

Of course, there is also plenty of other new programming across TV Thursday — from “Take Me Out” and “The Choice” on Fox to “The Pauly D Project” finale on MTV. There is also a little something in the NBA Finals that is sure to get heaps of viewers against weak broadcast competition.

What are you looking to watch Thursday?
